Hey guys... as official EMUS Internet-Type-Stuff-Person, I'm going to be collecting links of early modern interest in this post. I'll edit it as I find stuff; please feel free to comment on this post/email me with any of your own faves.

I'll be adding some links of Actual Scholarly Significance later, but for now I thought I'd start off with some fun stuff.

The Skinhead Hamlet (GHOST: Oi! Mush! HAMLET: Yer? GHOST: I was fucked! [Exit GHOST.])
Plushie Shakespeare
Plushie Queen Elizabeth
Plushie Black Death (It's so cute!!!)

Some Shakespeare-themed movies that are rumored to be in the works:
Richard III (2007) (David Carradine as Buckingham!!?!)
Macbeth (2007)
Come Like Shadows (2008) (Also Macbeth)
Gnomeo and Juliet (2008) ("A version of Shakespeare's play, set in the world of warring indoor and outdoor gnomes." Tell me this won't be the best movie ever made.)

I'm trying to keep my eye out for other early-modern-type movies set for release, but those usually don't come out until Oscar season, and it's a bit early yet. Nevertheless, here's what I've been able to dig up so far:

5/25: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (What? It's a thought-provoking study of eighteenth-century colonial expansion.)
7/27: Molière
10/12: The Golden Age (Sequel to Elizabeth. See the trailer here.)
11/16: Beowulf (I have high hopes for this one, but I can't get past the idea of Angelina Jolie as Grendel's mom.)
12/21: The Other Boleyn Girl
